PlayStation has announced that during this week the variable refresh rate will be extended to several PS5 games in order to optimize the visual performance of these titles.Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) is a feature that allows displays that support it to re-broadcast images at the same number of frames it receives at any one time.In order to enjoy this function, a TV or PC monitor that has HDMI 2.1 is required.This feature is very useful and valued in the gamer community, since each image that is shown on the screen is a frame, which is generated as the game progresses.The problem is that each frame has a speed, so until now there were times when the image was distorted by not being able to keep up with it.But now with VRR, the screen is able to display each frame in due time without any bugs (Software Error).This offers improvements in the gaming experience since it makes it much more fluid, there is no waiting in rendering and the graphics are of higher quality.Throughout this week, PS5 players from around the world will be able to try this new experience on their consoles.It is expected that the next games that the company releases will already have support for this feature included, while other titles that have already been released will receive a patch that updates them for it.Among the video games that we can enjoy the VRR we will find: Call of Duty: Vanguard, Destiny 2, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered, Ratchet & Clank: A separate dimension, Resident Evil Village or the Dirt 5 among many others.To receive this update, the only thing you need apart from a screen with HDMI 2.1 is an Internet connection to download it, since the function will activate itself, if you do not want to put it, for whatever reason, you just have to go to Screen and Video to turn it off.You can also try VRR on games that are not supported, and while it may improve the quality of some titles, in other cases glitches can occur, so it's best to disable it if that happens.
